Councillor

Harriet GreenMay 2015

I have lived in Whitwell all of my life and, when elected to serve on Whitwell Parish Council in the 2015 election, was completing my A-Level studies. The subjects I studied were Government and Politics, History and English Language.
I am hoping to go to university in September 2015 to study a degree in Politics, subject to my exam results. Having always enjoyed my education and the great experiences it has given me, I aspire to progress from higher education to training for a career teaching in secondary education.
My interests include keeping up with the news and current affairs, along with a keen passion of caring for and working with animals, including horse riding.
I work part time at a local cinema which I really enjoy, especially the aspect of interacting with and helping customers.
I value highly the close community we have in Whitwell and, as one of your parish representatives, endeavour to protect and develop this in the interest of all residents of our village.
