Due to a change in legislation, it is now possible for parish council’s to hold virtual meetings.

Parish Council Meetings – There will be no April parish council meeting. The health and safety of councillors, staff and the public is the council’s primary concern, and it is following government guidance on the holding of meetings, including the annual meeting and annual parish meeting, and will post an update when received.
Suspension of Green bin collections – From w/c 30 March 2020 all green bin collections have been suspended. Other bins should be left out before 6.00 am at the latest. In the meantime, food waste should be put into black bins. Please visit bolsover.gov.uk for the latest information on bin collections and other local information.

Whitwell Parish Council have a vacancy for a Part-Time Handyperson to work 25 hours per week in the parish of Whitwell.

There is currently a vacancy on Whitwell Parish Council and having been through the prescribed procedure, no election has been requested.
The vacancy will therefore be filled by the co-option process at a meeting of the Parish Council on 11 March 2020.
