Whitwell Parish Council’s Standing Orders were reviewed and amended as per SO 26a and the Local Authorities & Police & Crime Panels (Coronavirus) (Flexibility of Local Authority & Police & Crime Panel Meetings) (England and Wales) Regulations 2020 until May 2021 or such time as the Government revises or revokes the legislation, to enable the council to hold virtual meetings.

Due to a change in legislation, it is now possible for parish council’s to hold virtual meetings.
The April parish council meeting has therefore been rescheduled and will be a virtual Zoom meeting, taking place at 7.00 pm on Wednesday 29 April 2020.
Public and press are invited to email the Clerk before the meeting with any questions and she will issue the password to those who wish to attend.

Parish Council Meetings – There will be no April parish council meeting. The health and safety of councillors, staff and the public is the council’s primary concern, and it is following government guidance on the holding of meetings, including the annual meeting and annual parish meeting, and will post an update when received.
Suspension of Green bin collections – From w/c 30 March 2020 all green bin collections have been suspended. Other bins should be left out before 6.00 am at the latest. In the meantime, food waste should be put into black bins. Please visit bolsover.gov.uk for the latest information on bin collections and other local information.
